Merry Christmas! My Favorite Christmas Books!

The holidays are a perfect time to curl up in a warm chair, sip some hot apple cider, and get lost in a great book. Here are some of my favorite holiday books to chase away the most hardened Scrooge and rekindle that glowing Christmas spirit! Merry Christmas, everyone!

While this is not necessarily a Christmas book, it is a great read to start the Christmas season. This series of short stories by Ellen Cooney tells how a family has celebrated Thanksgiving since pre-colonial America. This novel focuses on the importance of family and their traditions.

Winterdream is a gorgeous and faithful retelling of The Nutcracker.  While reading this you will be able to revisit the magic of Tchaikovsky's famous Russian ballet!

The Enchanted Sonata is another splendid retelling of The Nutcracker! This novel focuses heavily on music and is perfect for classical music lovers!

This epistolary novel tells the tale of two lovers who promised to meet in Paris for Christmas. Last Christmas in Paris is a heart wrenching and emotional novel about two people who struggle to survive WWI.

This novella is a swoon worthy Victorian romance that is perfect for those who are looking for a light and charming Christmas read!

Marian's Christmas Wish has all the feels for a perfect Regency romance!

Christmas at Carnton is a beautiful love story about faith and hope! The novel has a peaceful setting for it takes place at a plantation in Tennessee!

I really adore Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series! This one does not disappoint! This novel has the humor and sweetness that is perfect for a Christmas romance!

Morna's Magic and Mistletoe is a fabulous Christmas read for fans of the Outlander! It has time-travel, magic, and romance! An added bonus is that the setting takes place in a Scottish castle!

I find A Royal Spyness series to be very charming! This historical mystery novel has all the fun and suspense in a Christmas novel!

I am a huge fan of Deanna Raybourn's novels. Silent Night is a feel-good Christmas novella that has a dash of a light mystery!

I have always been a fan of the Phryne Fisher mysteries. This Christmas book is one of the cleverest mysteries I have ever read! So get out your magnifying glass and try to piece together the clues before Ms. Phryne solves the mystery!
